The Onyx Line SUN PRO-8 IP65 is an 8 kW hybrid solar inverter designed for residential and light-commercial applications requiring 120/240 V split-phase power. It integrates solar panels, battery storage and grid or generator supply, with dual AC outputs for flexible system configuration. Two independent MPPT trackers support a recommended maximum PV array capacity of 16,000 W. The inverter operates within an MPPT voltage range of 85–450 V, with a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 500 V and up to two strings per MPPT. The 48 V battery platform supports LiFePO4 and lead-acid batteries within a voltage range of 40–60 V. Maximum battery charging and discharging currents are 160 A and 180 A respectively, with RS485 and CAN interfaces for BMS communication. The inverter delivers 8,000 W / 8,000 VA of rated output and a surge capacity of 16,000 VA for 5 seconds. Supported output configurations include 120/240 V and 120/208 V at 50/60 Hz. Transfer times are 10 ms in UPS mode and 20 ms in Home Appliances mode.
